Meet Mr Sebastian...
Mr Sebastian has tutored as a full-time career since 2016, after teaching Classics for a year in a top UK school. Since then, he has successfully prepared hundreds of students for admission to top UK day and boarding schools and taught over 8,000 hours of lessons in-person, online and on residential placements across the world. He has also been a judge for the BBC 500 Words creative writing competition.

In 2025, he co-founded The Admissions Academy, a holistic tutoring company from prep school all the way through to university and beyond. He still works with a small number of families, offering education consultancy and 1-1 tuition.

Each year Mr Sebastian works with around 30-40 students and teaches over 1,000 hours online as well as conducting several in-person residential placements.

He has successfully prepared several students (10+) for King's Scholarships, the Westminster Challenge, Harrow Scholarships and other scholarships.

University of Oxford
At Oxford, he read for a second undergraduate degree in Theology (with Senior Status), specialising in Church History, and was ranked second overall in his college.
2012-2015

University of Liverpool
At Liverpool, he received the Thomas Hornby Scholarship (2013 & 2014) for best performance in Greek; the Postgate Prize (2014) for the highest overall mark in Part I examinations and the Dawson Turner Prize (2015) for the highest overall mark in Part II examinations.

After passing the 11 Plus, he studied Mandarin, German, Latin and Greek at school and was senior RN cadet in the Combined Cadet Force. He sat his Maths GCSE a year early and then took an AS-Level in Maths alongside his other GCSEs.
